A perfect fit for this mp3 player, the leather is really soft and the case has a built in screen protector. All buttons are accessible when the case is on the player and there is a cut out in the back for the hold button . This really is a near perfect case to protect your walkman , it ozzes quality , right down to the stiching.

since i got this ive never taken it off, its a great case for the sony mp3 player, all buttons are easily accessible so taking the player out of it isnt needed

This case is nicely made with soft (and presumably slighted padded) nappa leather. All the stitching looks solid, and the plastic screen protector is a bonus. There is easy access to the various controls, including the "hold" button on the back of the player. All nice touches.
Only three observations (that are slight criticisms):
- The case is very tight when new, and needs some flexing with your fingers so that you can slide the player inside. Even then it's a rather tight fit, and requires some jiggling to slide the player inside.
- The case's interior materials feel quite hard (no soft nappa leather against your player). As such, it's probably best to slot your player in and just leave it, rather than risk scratching by taking it in & out.
- The case prevents any of the thicker form factor 3.5mm jack plugs from being plugged into the headphone socket all the way. You need a slim form factor plug to connect this to say your home stereo (whilst using the player inside this case).
Now why can't Sony make a case for it (?)

This is a very nice, soft leather case to hold, which does not add much weight to the player. It is easy to flip open with the magnetic button and comes with an attachable belt clip, if needed. The case has plastic protecting the screen, which gives a clear view. It also does not cover up the buttons, which are easy to operate within the case and are not restricted. I would definitely recommend this accessory.

It is annoying to find manufacturers of MP3/4 players do not automatically provide, or at least offer a case as a separate item if they need to keep the initial price down. Do the manufacturers not see their sophisticated product as worthy of protection?
Thankfully, there are companies like 'i-nique' who provide an excellent service. I received the case for my Sony NWZ818 player by return and it fits like a glove and allows easy access to all the controls. The case is soft with a plush feel and is recommended without reservation.
I looked to see if 'i-nique' had a case for my wifes Phillips 2Gb, Go Gear, but without luck - hopefully one will be available soon. They do do a screen protector for this player though.
