Ordered on Sunday, despatched on Monday, arrived Tuesday.
Worked perfectly out of the box, easy as pie to install, runs like a dream.
Quiet, effective and small.
Remember what this type of thing used to cost about 2 years ago ??
Worth every penny.

worked fine for the first 3 weeks but now the device is not recognised by either of our PCs. Powers up OK. Got a brief XP message 'device connected to USB port not recognised-may be faulty'. Considering the other good reviews it looks like I've been unlucky. I'm sure Amazon would get it exchanged but I've backed up all my personal data to it!

I am not a computer guru so am always worried about whether I can set up new hardware - I ussualy manage but am not confident.
Well I plugged this in and opened documents and copy all documents to the hard drive and that was it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iTunes all my documents and photo's sorted.
Its a neat piece of kit looks great and I am delighted.

i brought this hard drive as i recently purchased a macbook and to back up my documents i needed to reformat my previous harddrive, which i wasnt going to do as i needed to keep all of my data.
when i received the harddrive, i just plugged it in and my mac automatically started the 'time machine' application (which is the mac's auto back up system), without having to install software etc. very handy and straightforward.
as mentioned by others in the reviews, the unit is compact, silent and usb powered, much different to my previous harddrive which required you to plug in to mains and was on the large and noisy side.
i have one problem with the unit - and yes this is very personal: it has a very matt surface, i dont know how to describe it, but if youre like me and dont like chalk sounds on a board or wire wool, then think wisely! mad i know but i wish i'd have known!!

I bought this from Amazon. Great price, quick delivery. The drive feels sturdy - I also bought a case to protect it, but in hindsight wouldn't have done unless I planned to carry it about a lot (which I don't). Very quick and easy to use... just plug and play.
