I read the reviews and thought this product would be great as I was a loyal Norton user! The Bitdefender worked really well and found virus Norton did not even notice and best of all it does not slow your machine down as Norton did. The down side was in the installation I did not restart my machine after uninstalling Norton so when I installed Bitdefender it caused my machine to completely cash and had to start it up in safe mode! So be warned make sure you uninstall all previous antivirus softwear restart and then install Bitdefender then you should have a hassle free installation! I ended up going through their customer service which were helpful and patient. Anyway I'm glad I made the transition even if it was painful!

I bought BitDefender at Christmas, and had high expectations from looking at the internet. However, all of my expectations have been fulfilled, and it is by far the best anti virus software there is on the market - it is cheap, updates every 1 hour and much more. An extremely useful feature it has is called "Real time antivirus," and this stops viruses as they travel through your system, this even works for downloads! So far I have stopped 4 viruses and my system still runs at peak performance even when the program is running at full protection. It also requires very little attention and runs quietly in the background whilst completely securing your pc. Another good thing about this software is it works seamlessly with Vista, which means that even when SP1 comes out, it still works! A great buy, I would highly recommend it to anybody!!

In a nutshell, my laptop was contantly choking before I had this software but now it breathes and lives like a G. It's outstanding.

I have used almost all Internet Security Products such as Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Panda, and so on. I find BitDefender as the best product for Internet Security because of its advanced Heuristic Scanning abilities which find not only the known virus in signature but also those software which behave like a virus. Unlike top selling Internet Security tools such as Norton and McAfee, BitDefender updates are released for EVERY hour! BitDefender 2008 has been awarded PC Advisor GOLD for its outstanding security abilities. In case the system is infected, and can not boot; the BitDefender CD could be used to scan and remove the virus by BOOTING THROUGH IT! The most needed in an Internet Security software is a very good anti virus scan engine, and an excellent firewell. These are the BEST in BitDefender when compared to other Internet Security software. Moreover the BitDefender engine is very fast and consumes less than 1MB of the physical memory (RAM). I could scan all files on my (T7100 Centrino Duo Processor with 2 GB RAM) 80 GB hard disk in less than half an hour! It is available in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions compatible with Windows Vista.
This is probably the MOST STABLE software I have ever seen. I often read news on systems crashing because of errors in updates in Internet Security Softwares. But BitDefender never had such a problem.
