5 out of 5 stars Excellent product - good value for money   April 8, 2008

I bought this USB stick a couple days ago. So far it's been working as it should. It's very small and lightweight. The cap is securely attached, so it doesn't fall off. The USB stick didn't need a system reboot (I have windows xp professional edition) and worked on every single computer I tried instantly (even mac). 4GB is also a lot of space, which I truly need, so this is pure value for money. I'm extremely pleased with the warranty of 1 year (and hope I won't need it). So far, there hasn't been any drawbacks. There is some free-trial software on the stick, which I haven't had the time to check out yet - so I can't comment on that. Unfortunately the stick isn't password protected but you can download data protection software from the internet and encrypt all sensitive data on it, so that could save you the extra pounds you'd be required to spend on a USB stick with password protection. I'd definitely recommend this product because it's just pretty, does what it's supposed to do and seems very robust and reliable - and don't forget the cheap price.

1 out of 5 stars Bad product 1 star (and its lucky to get that)   April 7, 2008

The product will only allow me to use 8mb of space and frankly thats awful, i bought a 4gb version because i needed plenty of space and yet i get 1 five-hundredth of the advertised space, NOT GOOD.

5 out of 5 stars Best in Class   March 29, 2008

Well built, sturdy, a cap that fits on securely, a hole for a lanyard. the 4gb is well priced. I have had a number of USB Thumb Drives ranging from cheap n' cheerful to expensive. This is by far the best and a fantastic price.

4 out of 5 stars One major problem   March 20, 2008

This product is as beautiful and well built as all these previous reviewers have stated. And likewise, it's great value, and once installed very easy to use. The major hiccup is that it requires a system restart to complete installation, which is very annoying for trying to share data around an office, or with friends/ colleagues. It's one of those things one would have hoped the designers and manufacturers would have recognised and resolved- most USB drives I've come across don't need a system restart to get going. So only a 4/5 from me. Could do better,

I got this USB stick today, stuck it into my pc and nothing happened. No light went on, on the usb stick, and the computer didn't say anything about recognising it in any way. I tried it in three other pc's in my house and nothing happened either.

It may have just been a faulty usb stick and one out of a thousand but even going to the support website I found they didn't even mention this type of storage device on the site.
