This book may be useful, but I think on the whole, you may not use it. True it covers a lot of scenarios and you possibly might make use of some of the code. But on the whole you will not be using this book on a daily or even weekly basis.
It is certainly not a text book for learning the language. It is a book of recipes. Only buy it if you need some of the recipes it contains. See the book index before you buy.
