Not a Book for the Begginers :( January 3, 2002 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
I am just starting to dip my toe in the Animation pool and i bought this book and was COMPLEATLEY overwhelmed :)). I don't think this is the best thing to go with if you are a newbie. My best advice is to ask the people who have already made it.
Wow!! April 10, 2001 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a very practical book for those poor folk who have to make their own animation set-up from scratch at home, like me. It has just about every computer programme there is, and lots of the other older methods like Super 8 which is always a good emergency method for getting stuff seen quick and rough. Also, there is lots to inspire anyone starting out in animation; it says "Look at all the stuff you could do, it's limitless"
this book is good... August 31, 1999 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is just packed with iformaiton and is easy to read, well it was for me and i'm just a student. It goes through the basics of every kind of animation out there and turned out to be really usefull for all sorts of things.
A great starting place for the independent animator. August 17, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book is a great guide to the starting animator, covering all aspects of animation with some general information of everything. This new digital edition is more comprehensive than the first edition because it explains how to use the computer as a tool for animation in both the 2D and 3D formats.
