Top product for the price... November 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just received it and i can say that it's a fantastic bit of kit.
Sound quality's excellent and the headphones provided are damn good given the quality of similarly priced mp3 players. The screen does really well for its size and it's very light.
Had a few connection issues as the cable supplied is very short and a tad temperamental but it's a very common socket size so it may be that you have a better cable that fits from elsewhere.
I am a tad miffed that it's gone down in price since since i bought it, which was only a few days ago, but all the more reason to snap one up now. I'd also get the version with more memory because it'd be worth every extra penny.
Good work.
Great hardware - lousey software November 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is an amazing piece of hardware - so small and yet so easy to use. The display is clear, the sound great and the controls so intuitive. My complaint comes when I try to load my MP3 collection. Connecting to the PC is easy and windows quickly displays a set of folders on the player - they are not real folders. You can only put albums and tracks into the "Music" folder - what happens to them after that is a mystery. Perhaps the device is aimed at those who download music tracks from the net. To these automatic sorting into "artist" "genre" etc might have some intrinsic value. For me I want the folders that I load into the player to stay as I organised them. In this player the folder names get listed as "unknown". The tracks in my folders seem to be scattered in various folders. Most annoying is the way it handles my MP3 "learn French" lessons. It lists lessons 1 to 9 in one place,18 to 20 in another and the remaining ten lessons at random throughout the pseudo folders it provides. Previously I owned an ATMT player, bought from Amazon. No such problems with that player - if only the battery had lasted longer! This player is an example of the modern meddling approach to software design -"We'll give them what we want - not what they want". For God's sake let me organise my files how I like!
Doesn't work with Visa! November 13, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product looks the part but unfortunately it doesn't work with Vista. Despite trawling the web looking for fixes I have finally given up and had to return the player. So be careful when purhcasing...
Brilliant! November 7, 2008 if you are thinking of buying an mp3 player then look no further! this is the real deal very easy to operate and transfer files and very big on sound!!! it is very small and compact and will rival any of the other leading brands on the market!!
