Fab little camera January 4, 2009 Not loads to say as i am a complete novice, i have found this camera very easy to use, i have already taken some lovley pictures. - The instuctions were in english, speedy delivery. I think it is very good value for money.
Excellent Value December 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was attracted to this camera because of the lens and after seeing the results from my brothers 5600. Best bits - great lens, wide range of settings but also very easy to use, accepts filters, long battery life, SD card compatible and the price. Downside - too big to fit into your pocket and struggles a bit in low light conditions (but no worse than any other camera I've used in this price range). Overall - very pleased. Top tips - Buy the Fiji camera bag, its well made and has a compartment for spare batteries. Discard the fiddly lens cap and replace with a 46mm filter e.g. Skylight (1B). This fully protects the lens and simplifies use.
Great Mid Level Camera, Great price December 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered the camera a week ago and it arrived quickly. Great camera for those looking for a step up from a point and shoot regular digital. Easy to use and set up, lightweight and easy to hold versus many others in the same category. I would recommend this camera to someone who is looking for for more than the traditional store camera but who is a novice at serious photography. A perfect starter camera for users looking to learn a bit more about photography.
Great camera for a beginner December 10, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I would just like to echo what already has been said in most of the reviews. I have never owned an SLR type camera before and know very little about photography, but after reading up and practicing with this it has made taking photos a lot of fun its not that hard to get your head around all the functions, I have already tried most of the settings and all work a treat, close up with macro is great and landscape gets a good wide angle I also got the opportunity to use the fire work settings and they turned out fantastic, the zoom is very impressive but best to have it on a tripod for this as any shaking puts it out of focus, the setting for moving targets also works great, my manual also came in English very useful for a novice like myself, I have also just uploaded images to show how a beginner can take very decent shots.
fantastic camera December 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This S500 fujifilm camera was a christmas present last year. I have used all the functions on the camera, it is easy to use and the pictures are excellent. The booklet with it has simple to follow instructions. It is also easy to hold. My grandson is left handed and found it easy; most left handers have difficulty holding and clicking with right hand. you try with left hand! I only have one problem, I now need a link piece to be able to add lenses and no search results. It is 46mm and most linking pieces are 55mm. If anyone finds any let me know please. Otherwise I am pleased with the camera.
