Stylish and practical November 25, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a really nice camera case that houses a G9 perfectly, yet allows quick and full access to all controls when unclipped. It makes a huge difference having a proper case that you don't have to extract your camera from before taking a shot. As others have said, it has a pleasing traditional look and feel which will only be enhanced through use; it's of sturdy construction too. Overall, recommended if you use your G9 a lot and want to look after it properly. Only possible gripe is the price - yes, it's a tad pricy for a wee case, and there are cheaper options but if you've invested in a G9 and want it protected in a practical, stylish way, it's money well spent.
Brilliant case September 19, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This case is the Bees knees and the Dogs b******s for any G9 owner. It is all leather, the only reason the manufacturers claim it to be 44% leather is because every inch of leather is lined and there are 3 metal fastenings, a follow through metal tripod bush and a plastic Canon logo. All this makes 44% sound about right, they are being totally honest and you would need to be a total moron not to see that. The case screws onto the G9 by the tripod bush, fits like a glove and the only time you will need to part them is to access the battery or data card. I thought my G9 was sexy before I bought the case but now it's positively erotic.
Not value for money..... August 14, 2008 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
Although I like the retro look of this case, I was a bit dissapointed when I knew it consisted of only 44% leather and the rest were synthetic materials (i.e. nylon, pulp(?) and PU). The texture feels very cheap and it was not really value for money.
I wouldn't recommend you pay collector's price at auctions or anywhere. Your G9 could survive without it anyway.....
Get one... August 10, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you own a Canon G9 and need a case, get one of these. It protects the camera and makes it look like an ancient old film camera rather than a state of the art digital - must put off a fair percentage of potential thieves. It will enable you to chuck the camera in a bag or wear it on your shoulder ready to use. When I got mine they were really hard to come by - I had to get it from Japan. It seems they are more readily available now - a good thing.
Misleading Description May 30, 2008 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
I am disappointed to find that this is not a 'Leather Case' as described in the advertisement but only 44 per cent leather which was immediately obvious as it is far too shiny looking and feels like plastic. The case is good in every other way, however it is a misleading description which consumers should be aware of.
