Bad Printer November 10, 2008 The Epson D92 is the worst printer I have owned, and I have had printers since 1989. I get a 3 coloured band on the right hand side of all photos, its noisy and slow and suffice to say I have now finished buying any Epson products. Unfortunately I cant give it 0
ugh no thanks November 1, 2008 i've had epsons before and only got this one because epson where no longer making cartridges for my older model.
worked great... at first
now i'll be lucky if i can even print a single piece of paper. It continually says that the paper is not loaded correctly (and ive tried varing types and amounts), so i'll continually have to click 'try again' or press the maintance button- one time i counted that i'd pressed it 30 times and IT STILL WOULDN'T PRINT! the parts work but it won't take the paper.
on top of that... the status monitor. I have to by new ink about once a month @ 8 a time (usually black once a month, other colours about 2/3) so the usage is okish... but what isn't ok is that monitor... i HATE the fact you can not print a black and white only document if there's no ink in the other colors... WHY? i just want black and white text document!!! So... if i don't have the money and I have a document to print... I have to wait... even if i have a full black cartridge!!! ARGH!!!! SO FRUSTRATING!
I'd only recommend buying this product if it went below 15ish. It's not worth it's price tag sadly. Now All I seem to have is a brick that I can not use. Door stop maybe? but even then i doubt it'll do it's job :(
BUYER BEWARE! October 18, 2008 The Epson Stylus D92 is cheap, flimsy and noisy. It seems to eat ink cartridges for a snack, they are expensive to replace and, worst of all, I can't convince my printer that INKJET cartridges are supposed to work in it. Waste bin product - cut your losses, don't buy any more cartridges and buy a HP (our second printer). I only wish i had read your reviews before purchasing at Comet!
aweful..... simply aweful!. September 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This printer is probably one of the worst products i have bought in years and for so many reasons. Firtsly the cost, as everyone else has stated the cartridges you get free with the printer are introductory hence will run out in no time. The genuine cartridges there after cost a small fortune and don't last much longer than the freebies, in fact im unsure wether my printer is faulty but my magenta cartridge lasted only 15 ebay pages which didnt consist of that much colour. Apart from the fact that it's probably cheaper to run a small car than this printer i find that every time i use it i have various issues, too many to mention. I wont list them and warn you to be wary of them if you were to purchase one, i'll simply warn you not to purchase one!.
Good Old Epson August 19, 2008 I am impressed. I got one of theese to replace my now dead Epson Stylus C46 and all I can say is its much better. Both in print quality and build.
I don't see why people are moaning about the noise, yes its a bit loud when loading paper but who cares for 30!
I also like the fact that I can change each ink when it runs out instead of the whole lot of them in one go.
