Huge Problems!! November 4, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product, in my opinion, suffers from huge problems. First and foremost is the quality of the components. I use a pen drive every data, and take extraordinary care with it, but after a mere 4 months my pen drive no longer works (thereby stopping me from using any of the data saved to it).
Second, even when the pen drive was working it was often slow (despite being USB 2.0, which is generally fast).
Although it is possible that I simply got a "dud" I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying one of these reconsider quickly! The mere fact that the memory is so delicate should be enough to warrant a rethink. It is, after all, incredibly annoying to lose important data due to the mechanical failure of a product which is so delicate that (apparently) transporting documents to and from the office is simply too much for the robust design of this product to take. Incidentally, data recovery services for such devices do exist, but usually cost in the region of 500 -- suddenly this product is not so cheap.
Rant over.
Good for price, but delicate August 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This memory stick looks good, and is fairly small , and for the memory , the price is shockingly low. The only problem ive had with this stick, is that it is extremely delicate. The actual silver part of the usb is being held by sellotape on my current one atm, yet still works like new. All because of a tiny nudge, whilst connected, the plastic holding the port in place had snapped. Overall, really good, buy it, but be careful!
A reliable USB April 21, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I own the 4Gb Courier USB pen drive. I have had it for a year now and I have found it very reliable. I have twice accidently washed it by leaving it in my trouser pocket, and it still works fine.
Does it format to FAT file system not FAT32 ? March 28, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Can anyone tell me does this drive format to FAT file system, (not FAT32). I use windows XP and need FAT for my stereo usb port.
Thanks Greame
