Worst screen protector we've bought - avoid June 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Applied as per instructions but instead of the usual clear finish, the screen is covered in a random grainy pattern which seems to be left by the adhesive. Will probably remove the film as it is annoying when taking photos. Expensive product, poor performance. Not recommended!
Expensive for such a poor result. May 10, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The product is extremely difficult to apply. It comes with a tacky adhesive backing which attracts dust and dirt instantly. Although I followed the instructions to the letter, carefully positioning the film and smoothing it with a soft cloth, the end result was an untidy mess. I give it 2 stars rather than 1 because it does protect the screen, but I'm going to look for a cheaper alternative which uses a different method of adhesion.
Note added later: I recommend anyone purchasing this product to clean their entire work environment (not just the display screen); especially if you have pets in the house. Also, don't attempt to fit the product on a dry day where you may get some static electricity. You only get one chance to fit this film, and it only takes a tiny amount of dirt or fluff to spoil it.
excellent protection February 6, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
does exactly what it claims. Got to be carefull when applying it but if you follow instructions there shouldn't be any problem. Had a few tiny bubbles left but after settling down for a few days all was gone. Now it really feels like the display has a 'second skin'....very reassuring!
Good idea but .... January 5, 2008 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
The protector is precisely sized for the camera. However, it is quite difficult to exactly line it up before committing it to the screen. I found it was best to carefully place one corner first, line up and then gently press along one edge of the screen. The adhesive is very effective so care needs to be taken in the lining up. Once the protector has been precisely applied along the whole edge, avoiding air bubbles is the next priority. By carefully pressing the protector with a cloth as you ease off the backing paper should mean you will succeed in getting a fairly clear installation. The material the protector is made of seems to be resilient to scratches so far and does apparently 'self-heal' as claimed. How it will fair in the longer term is yet to be determined!
