Waste of money December 15, 2008 Well they sound UK ish but although you can turn the bass up you can't get a decent sound on the mid frequencies. Mine lasted about four months then the bass speaker packed up. I could return them but by the time you've paid carriage and had all the hassle, it's easier to buy a new set. These are cheap and I guess you get what you pay for!
If you don't want a quality sound they're ok. December 5, 2008 They're only 17 ish, so I wasn't expecting too much but I did expect a bit more than I got. They don't have a lot of bass, and they don't have a lot of mid-range, but they do have a lot of cheap high frequencies. I didn't intend listening seriously to music with them or needing a great sound from movies so my requirements weren't very high, I just wanted a cheap workhorse set of speakers. Unfortunately I listened to some music last night and now the small speakers are damaged. They rattle and vibrate if the sound is up a bit. The hum is annoying though only if the PC is sleeping. The fan of the PV drowns the hum out so not a problem in normal use. I've placed the bass unit AND the two speakers under the desk to get some more bass and tone into the sound! They really aren't good and though they may be worth 17 (I'm not sure of that) I do regret not paying a bit more for a bit more quality. They look pretty cheap too - but they are cheap so I shouldn't be surprised.
Rubbish: please don't fall for how they look! November 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers as a replacement to my broken but excellent logitech 2.1 system. They looked amazing on the product description page and frankly thats all they do! The 2 satellites produce reasonable sounds in the treble range, but the subwoofer barely works at the highest of volumes. Reason: its is too small (about the size of a toaster) and light, to deliver any bass. Please spend 5 more and purchase the logitech x210.
Great purchase... November 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
As an amazon virgin, this was my first purchase from this website and I must say that I will certainly be using them again.
These speakers... for 20 are excellent. The sound quality is brilliant, along with the bass blasting from the sub. It is easy to setup, it took me all of 2 minutes...
A definate purchase...

Poor quality October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these as a budget set of 2.1 speakers but returned them after one day. On installing them I noticed quite a loud hum which eventually forces you to switch them off. Then I tried to set up for sound quality using my sound card, media player, computer settings but all to no avail. No way could I achieve a good tone for music listening. Bass was simply a dull noise and the satellite speakers barely adequate. The only positive point is their appearance but no way does that compensate for such poor sound. E.J.
