5 out of 5 stars works in Audi stereo   January 5, 2009
no surprises. very few 4gb cards work with new Audi stereo SD card slot, this one does.

2 out of 5 stars Ho humm!   December 13, 2008
A real curate's egg, this one. Neither my HP laptop nor my Panasonic Lumix digicam (both 2 years old) recognise the card at all. My 3 year old Palm TX, though, does after a fashion. It will accept document files including PDFs, which is useful, but although it seems to load MP3 music files it won't allow them to be opened and played. This is really what I wanted it for, as 4Gb of music would have been quite handy. I might be able to fashion it into a couple of nifty toothpicks, though. Overall, too risky to buy for older kit.

STOP PRESS
I have managed to get the music to play, which means I can carry a decent stack of music with a host of documents, most of which have embedded photos. I might even be able to get it to work with my camera one day but, in the meantime, I am happy to upgrade the rating to 3 stars. Unfortunately I can't actually amend the star symbols above.

3 out of 5 stars not widely compatible   November 21, 2008
amazon should be more aware of products they suggest buying together, especially with something like a camera and a memory card.
this particular brand wasnt compatible with what i bought it for or the majority of things i tried it in. i gave it to a friend, she has had no trouble with it

3 out of 5 stars Wont work with Vivitar ViviCam 7320   October 25, 2008
Tried this in the above camera and just to let you know: It dosnt work. I am going to buy a 2Gb to see if that works! I dont have any other devices that can use SD cards at the moment.

3 out of 5 stars Hit and Miss, but worth a punt at the price   October 22, 2008

SD cards aren't supposed to have this much capacity, so I was a bit dubious about buying this product as it shouldn't work. I thought I'd give one a go as they are stupidly cheap and I really wanted to double the SD capacity on my Pure Evoke DAB, As SDHC cards aren't backwards compatible with original SD hardware, this looks like the only way of boosting storage on SD hardware .
Was pleased that my card reader on my dell dimension C521 recognised it as having 3.8 Gb and had no probs with file transfer. However, neither of my Pure products (evoke and the bug) recognise the card. However my pentax optio5Z and nikon d40x cameras are both able to use it. Ho Hum.
Go on, give it a punt, from my small sample size, it looks like 50% compatability!!!. Its cheap enough to give it a go, if it doesn't work with your hardware, i'm sure a friend would appreciate giving it a go.
