2 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for   October 13, 2008

For the price you pay this isn't a bad Digital Photo Frame. However, mine 'green screened' after 4 weeks and the maintenance company Cibox use in the UK are far from perfect. They did replace the unit with a new one but my complaints were; Phone number supplied no longer existed so had to contact via email that I managed to find on the Web, they called back 4 days later and instructed me to send the unit to them using insured registered delivery, at my own cost. 4 weeks later I had not heard anything so called them, they told me it was uneconomical to repair so would sen me a replacement, they knew this 2 weeks earlier but had failed to inform me!

5 out of 5 stars How can any home be without one?   September 19, 2008

I initially bought one of these for my mother for Christmas and on every visit she has it constantly showing a slideshow of the grandchildren. So I thought why not get one one myself? I know technology is progressing all the time, but this is a "must have" device. My holiday photos are constantly rotating through a slideshow in brilliant quality, it even plays movie files which is really handy and a clock, calender and alarm clock. Its not just me that likes it, every visitor to the house is really impressed. Highly recommended!!!

1. Order this from Amazon.

2. Make a nice assembly of photos or videos, and put them on a 2GB SD card.

3. Give the two items to the intended recipient.

4. Run.

I need not say anything about the resolution, which is well described in other reviews. I would call it adequate. My chief criticism is over the frame's long-term potential to annoy. You cannot set the photo sequence to 'random'. Nor can you mix photos and videos in that sequence. As a gift, this will delight for a good 30 minutes. I just wonder whether it will be switched on a month later, except when guests are coming round.

With Elonex now launching a laptop PC for 99, the photo frame vendors must raise their game.

ok for 50 but you have to crop your photos to make them fit in the frame or you get black boxes at the side of the photo. This is the only downside of the frame.yes the resolution is pritty poor but its ok for the money.

2 out of 5 stars Annoying space   February 8, 2008

I got this Photo frame as a gift but I would not buy it for myself as there is an annoying space at each end of my 6" x 4" photo's. Can anyone tell me how to remove this as it spoils the look of the photographs.
