disappointed October 14, 2008 I bought these to replace my old broken altec lansing speakers but thought I'd try another brand as logitech have served me well in the past. They were both similar in build and price but the sound comparison between the two was staggering. The logitech had a good range of bass to choose from but you can't control the treble which seemed to be stuck at a tinny, shrill tone which drove me mad. It reminded me of music you can hear coming from other peoples headphones on the bus.
I shall definitely be sticking to altec lansing from now on, for speakers at least!!
quite average speakers September 23, 2008 I bought these speakers because I liked their design and the price. Now, after testing them I can only say, that you should not expect any good clean sound from them. From 2-way speakers [of this size] I definitively expected more. They are ok for the price but that is it.
Not bad June 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to be honest, I selected these because they looked nice and they're not expensive. The sound is not very good (especially if you turn the volume up - they do sound tin-y) Also, I didn't realise how big and heavy these actually are. I only bought them so I could carry them round on holidays but that's rather out of the question now. Not bad, not good. If you really need a decent pair of speakers for your laptop spend a bit more ...
Quality product and service February 27, 2008 I've gone through two sets of cheap and nasty lightweight speakers, so i ordered these on the 25th Feb (supersaver) and i recieved them on the morning of the 27th (excellent delivery time). These speakers are only a few pounds more than my other tacky speakers but the sound quality is tons better for sound clips and music. I've purchased Logitech products before from Amazon and received the same quality product and service each time.
Buzzing Sound on Right speaker January 30, 2008 Bought these speakers and after using them for an hour a started getting buzzing feedback on the right speaker. It appeared to be caused by vibration of the cone. If I held the front housing the buzzing would stop. I thought the sound quality produced was acceptable but only just even to my untrained ear it sounded a little bit tinny. But for this price I wouldn't expect deep bass without a sub woofer. I thought the sound quality at volume drowned out lyrics and was far worse than the pair of cambridge soundworks speakers they replaced. Esthetically the speakers are large standing quite tall off the desktop. the buzzing was the big dissappointment I had to return them.
