4 out of 5 stars Good product - but is it the correct option?   November 17, 2007
I also have an E550, which I think is great and the lens kit certainly adds a lot more flexibility. The adaptor ring also provides the facility to use other threaded attachments. I fully intend to try sticking a polarising filter on here - these are one of the best camera accesories you can buy for a sunny day. I will update the review to let people know how I got on!

However - in hindsight would it not be a better oprion to go out and buy a Fuji FinePix S5700 for a few pounds more? This wouldn't match the wide angle but would exceed the telphoto.

4 out of 5 stars Quite frankly: I wish I'd bought this   August 7, 2007

Had this bundle offer been available when I bought my E900, I would *definitely* have opted for this bundle rather than buying these three items separately.

I spent in the region of 150 to get these three things, so all I can say is: don't make my mistake. Buy them as a bundle and save yourself a fortune (buying one on its own is roughly the same price as this entire bundle anyway)

As has been stated already, using the flash with the wide-angle can cause a shadow. However the E900 (and I'm sure its brethren) are perfectly capable of capturing in low-light conditions without the flash; I hardly use a flash, sometimes even in nightclubs.

The only hassle I find with these lenses is transportation, but the same can be said for any lense. I'm most fond of the wide-angle: while it doesn't make an astounding difference on your photo, it does give you that extra bit of room which can be essential when the whole family is together.

5 out of 5 stars Also suitable for Finepix E550   June 27, 2007

I took a chance on getting one of these for my Finepix E550 as the E550 and E900 share an adaptor ring. All parts (adaptor ring, tele converter and wide-angle converter) in fact come in packaging marked "for E550" and work perfectly with the camera.

The wide-angle adaptor is very good; images are sharp and there's very little barrel distortion (tendency for straight lines to look curved, as with a fisheye lens.)

The telephoto adaptor also delivers good, clean images. The zoom on my E550 delivers very slightly soft focus at the long end, but using this adaptor doesn't add to the problem.

All in all, excellent value for money.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money, watch the flash though   April 5, 2007

I don't need to elaborate much on the other reviews here only to say be careful when using the flash and the wide angle lens. Because the flash sits behind the lens rim you will get a shadow of the lens in your picture.

4 out of 5 stars Cheaper than the separates!   February 9, 2007

In the kit you get the tele and macro lenses plus the adaptor ring to mount them and bags to keep the lenses in.
The macro allowed me to take nice clean shots of some docs where the scanner/copier wasn't an option and the tele extends the "reach" of the e900.
The kit extends the e900s already versatile abilities.
To be fair, its easier to premount the lens you require rather than trying to do it outdoors as it's a three handed job changing the bits and pieces over without dropping something, and the reason I docked it a star is that the lens and mount rattle a bit on the camera, which suggests the threads are not quite compatible.
