Great for what they are designed to do December 8, 2008

I've had these speakers for 11 months now. I have two sets of speakers for my laptop and use these when I travel and can't use my mains powered speakers.
These speakers are very lightweight and pretty good looking too, smart is probably the best word. They are very easy to carry around with you and the free bad is a nice touch.
Setting up is simple - plug and play. That's it!
Most important bit - sound - volume wise, very loud (just listening to music on them now and my laptop is on 10% volume and is plenty loud enough). You can turn them up to about 75% but any more than that and the sound becomes distorted. But if you want sound that loud buy bigger speakers. The sound quality is fine for ordinary use (films and music) but don't sit too far away.
In case anyone was wondering these speakers are 30w (15w each). This surprised me (I thought it would be much less) and you won't find out this information unless you ask Logitech (which I did).
I have given these speakers 4 stars because they cannot be used at very high volumes and unfortunately they cannot be used with anything without a USB port (however, they are portable PC speakers so that is quite a harsh criticism).
Overall, great value at 20, very portable and if you bear in mind that these are portable speakers you will be very very happy with your purchase. Recommended.

USB speakers will never be as loud as their mains-powered counterparts, but these speakers do a very good job from the 5v USB output on your laptop with the bonus of working everywhere.
They are a great idea if you want something that's very portable and guaranteed to be usable even when there is not a mains power supply to hand.
The speakers fit into a small fabric bag for storage (included).
The sound quality is surprising and extremely good up to around 3/4 power, after which you will find that extremes of treble will distort. The bass level is very good for the size of the speaker. As a guide, you can comfortably listen to music and video in a quiet 12ft x 12ft room, but the sound won't overpower a loud conversation level.
I would not recommend these as a replacement to mains powered speakers, but they are great for traveling with and if all you currently have is your built-in laptop speaker.

After enduring my laptop's feeble built-in speakers for too long I decided to try out external speakers. I first spotted the Logitech V10 speakers when shopping at my local ASDA but I soon discovered they could be had MUCH cheaper at Amazon so I put my order in. Promptly delivered I was thrilled to experience their great sound and additional power as soon as I first tried them. The speaker system's USB connection is really convenient. Sure there are probably better speakers out there (for more moolah) but at their price I reckon the Logitech V10 speakers are a great deal. Me? - thrilled!

I picked these up in the US. Nice size, look pretty good. Sound wise the speakers are great, as long as they are for a desk or hotel, do not expect them to fill a living room with rich, deep sound. Films are good, MP3S ok.
The speakers are powered by USB so there is no need for a separate adaptor - but this means you can only use them with a PC, not an Ipod etc
A bag is included which is a nice touch.
Overall, highly recommended.
