2 out of 5 stars Better than nothing   February 7, 2008

This case was an extremely snug fit for my 60GB 5th gen iPod. So snug, in fact, that actually lifting the covering flap up in order to operate the controls or view the screen requires careful maneouvering to avoid the case getting caught on the earphone lead. It's also nigh on impossible to use a cabled charger into the bottom socket, as the hole that nominally grants access to the docking port on the iPod is so snug that the cable can't fully click into place.

The belt clip feels too loose when attached to be trusted, and while the lanyard seems a sensible alternative, the weight of the hard drive-based iPod doesn't work too well suspended from one's neck. This relegates the case to use within a pocket -- the cushioned leather is good for protecting the iPod, without significantly adding to the bulk.

3 out of 5 stars Its ok but there is better   December 23, 2007

I thought this case was ok though its nothing compared to the pack i bought from exspect. Exspect include a skin for the ipod, a radio transmitter (which works with all ipods btw) and a really nice leather case for 15.99. I liked the little holder for the earphones though, that was a nice idea.

4 out of 5 stars Simple and Practical   April 28, 2007

Though this isn't the best case for the IPOD, it certainly does what it's designed to do: Protect your sacred IPOD from scratches and stuff. The belt clip also comes in handy and the leather material is smooth and strong. Do not buy if you are the type that likes to watch videos regularly on the IPOD as it's frustrating to have to open and close the case every time to do that.

4 out of 5 stars Perfectly reasonable   March 8, 2007

This seems like a well-made piece of kit, and it looks smart too. I share the earlier reviewer's frustration about there being nowhere to store the earphones, but having read their review I wasn't expecting an earphone pocket. That said, there must be a market for someone to make a decent case with earphone storage and protection for the screen and clickwheel.

1 out of 5 stars DISAPPOINTED   February 9, 2007

I spent 2+ hours searching for the best protective case to buy. This one was the only one that was supposed to have somewhere to store the earphones. That was essential to me, I travel a lot and need a practical and simple way of carrying my music with me without damaging the ipod OR earphones. When I finally got this item, after waiting nearly 4 weeks (!) for it to arrive, I discover there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of getting the earphones into the case without breaking both them and the ipod. Am I really the only one that wants a case that everything fits into? It's going back today!
