 An Excellent Case for S9600 April 15, 2008

I purchased this excellent quality leather case for my new Fuji S9600. I am delighted with the quality and the sturdy strap that was included. I had no trouble in fitting my S9600 in the case, complete with neck strap! Simply wrap the strap carefully around the camera body and it fits a treat. The side pocket is on the small side and would have been better with velcro fastening, but the magnet fastening works. I think the pocket is only suitable for a spare XD card or similar, and doubt it is suitable for spare batteries. That said I rate this case highly for quality and am delighted with my purchase.

The case is just to small of the camera, with no straps on the camera it go in,but with them on it's very tigth to do up. sorry but is it just me.

Good quality,could have been slightly deeper for more accessories. Battery compartment on the side is ok but could have used a zip instead of a popper

Yes,this is a very nice well made bag BUT if you have an finepix s6900 it is a tight fit ... not in a good way! You need a weeks notice to get your camera out! So if you like to get snapping in a hurry - get a different case! The cameras lcd screen gets caught on the zip going in and out of the bag which is a pain and if you have the neck strap attached to your camera - forget about zipping the case shut!
I guess it would be ok if you're more into posing than taking pictures! With the case being so soft it really doesn't feel like your new pride and joy is being protected as well as it should either. To me as someone who likes to go out walking etc,cameras do get the odd knock don't they.
I have just bought the Lowepro Top Load Zoom mini from amazon,what a superb case! You can get your camera out in a hurry with this one :o)) Very well made,great padding,loop on the back so you can wear it on a belt if you want,nice pockets for your bits(zipped pocket on inside of top flap too) and you can zip up the top WITH the cameras neck strap attached! Nice one Lowepro I like it.
Obviously the above is just my opinion but I'll go for lowepro from now on thats for sure!

Made from supersoft leather, this bag is designed for Fujifilm cameras S9500, S9600 and the S6500fd according to the label attached to it.
It's made of high quality, soft leather, with a sturdy double-zip (one on each side of the flap). The flap is also held in place by velcro. I like the velcro! It's noisy and means that no-one can steal your camera while you are haggling with a stall holder in Delhi (unless you're a bit mutton).
Although it's a double-zip, it can be opened single-handed because of a leather loop that is attached to each zip eyelet. You can also use the loop as a carrying handle if you don't want to make use of the belt-loop or the should strap.
You get a strong, woven-nylon should strap with a lightly padded, leather shoulder pad and chromed spring-loaded hooks for attachment to the bag. The strap is designed to fold to a very small size so you could simply put it in the camera area along with the camera.
There also an external pocket on the front of the bag, to keep spare batteries or anything else. Inside the pocket is a tiny inner-pocket to keep your spare xD card(s). The pocket flap is held shut by a strong magnetic catch and has the logo attached to the outside. Even the logo is high quality! Its a really thick (2.5mm), chunk of chromed metal with FUJIFILM written in black lettering, that doesn't wobble about!
The bag is padded, more so at the back than at the front, but as this is already a good 4 inches wide, they haven't overdone the padding. The stitching on the leather is tidy and strong and is doubled where necessary - e.g. on the belt loop and the strap loops.
I love it. It's so much more elegant than a canvas bag and an absolute bargain.
