Good every day photo paper December 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You can buy thicker paper, but it costs more. This paper is a bit thinner than the sort you'd get back from a lab, but the quality of prints you can make is excellent and as you're not on the finest quality setting on your printer, you'll use less ink too. Put it in a frame and no-one will know. For every day photo prints for the family, this won't disappoint.
Sellers gaming Amazon's system September 23, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
When there are lots of sellers, the one that you see is the lowest priced, not including postage. Given that this seller charges double the p&p if you order two units, it's clearly just a way to inflate the price and still make sales by looking like the cheapest. Wouldn't blame the seller, it's just a problem with Amazon's system being legitimately (within the rules set by Amazon) exploited.
You just have to look harder for the actual cheapest seller
Agree February 16, 2008 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I totally agree with the last review. You have plenty of time to check your order and it clearly states your postage charge if your item is not from Amazon. When you place your order it tells you the availability and who it is sold by. When you go through checkout you have an order summary that you are SUPPOSED TO CHECK which states the p&p charge - if you don't want to pay the p&p you can always delete that item off your order you know!!!!!!
This is an excellent product December 31, 2007 21 out of 27 found this review helpful
Sorry but I don't agree with the review above. The reviewer clearly does not understand the Amazon P+P policy.
For a start 7.90 is pretty good value for 100 sheets of excellent quality photo paper sent to your door. Secondly, if you actually bother to read the help pages about postage rates you will see that items from third party suppliers are not included under free delivery. 4.50 is a flat rate for 1 kg of product hence the low original price compensates for this.
In response to what you say about catching out customers, this is clearly not true as you have plenty of opportunity to review the final price before clicking on "Order".
When you say "there needs to be more clarity about pricing and postage" what more do you want? It's all there on the help pages. It takes approximately three clicks of the mouse.
No hard feelings, but seems to me an unnecessary rant. Happy New Year!
Watch out for the postage cost August 28, 2007 57 out of 95 found this review helpful
I ordered this photo paper as part of a larger order of other goods that came to over 40. I had thought that, as part of this order, it would qualify for Amazon's "free delivery" offer. I was clearly mistaken... the postage for this single item (4.50)was nearly DOUBLE the cost of the photo paper (2.70)from the supplier -'Glosupplies.co.uk'. Total cost for this photo paper was really 7.20.
I don't know who is at fault, Amazon or the supplier, but the fact that this pricing anomaly catches out a lot of customers (see some of the other feedback on similar products) would suggest to me that there needs to be more clarity about pricing and postage from Amazon's secondary suppliers. Maybe something for Trading Standards to look into?
My recommendation is that you be vigilant when ordering from one of these secondary suppliers. Check and double check - the price you pay will almost certainly be much more in EXCESS than the advertised price of the goods. Better still, look out for free postage offers or even offers in retail suppliers ... when you factor in the postage costs, the retail suppliers are often as cheap if not cheaper.
