1 out of 5 stars Sennheiser PX200 Closed Mini Headphone   December 14, 2008
Sennheiser PX200 Closed Mini Headphone

Don't buy - one word sums up their sound 'quality'; ie NASTY. I don't care how they compare with similar style headphones they still sound NASTY. If i could send them back i would

Go for in ear if they don't hurt, or pay for a heaphone amplifier and get something with a decent driver, such as sennheiser HD 595's or similar (they are absolutely brilliant)

2 out of 5 stars px200 vs px100   October 10, 2008
i am currently using px100 n purchased a px200 which had arrived today. I thought there would be a suprise but this pair of px200 actually disapointed me. Px100 at half the price of Px200, the vocal sound quality and the bass, are better than the px200. I can only say tht the outlook of the px200 is better than the px100.

1 out of 5 stars just as rubbish as the black version   August 24, 2008

i've already reviewed the black version of these but seemed fair to point out that if you want a superior set of headphones than these sorry excuses for headphones,i would urge you to save yourself a few quid & get the px-100's in white instead because they truly are on another level when it comes to quality of audio, far superior bass, far superior highs & warmer sounding in the mid, unless you like your music cold & bassless of course then feel free to waste your money on these horrid things!

3 out of 5 stars Excellent sound. Lacking in comfort.   June 2, 2008

Excellent sound quality.

However, they seemed very tight to me, which made them rather unconfortable to wear, especially for longer periods. I found it more comfortable to wear them backwards. (Not a difference that matters when listening to music, but more important if you were using them to play computer games, for example.)

They have a short cable, which makes them better for listening to an mp3 player, but again less suitable as a computer accessory.

I managed to break my pair by tripping over the cable while they were plugged into my desktop, and the plug sheared off. Not really a manufacturing fault, but my old headphones were able to take a lot more punishment.

3 out of 5 stars reasonable value but not hifi   May 3, 2008

After reading the reviews i have to admit to being a little disappointed. While the bass of these headphones is pretty good, the midrange is really harsh, and even unpleasant at high volumes. It's not hi fi exactly. I have compared these to a pair of admittedly more expensive stantons, and also my standard sony mobile phone earpiece, and both the latter are more musical. Perhaps a breaking in period is needed but can't honestly imagine them changing enough to be considered good.
But otherwise they're nice to look at, convenient, and reasonable value if you pick them up cheap.
