2 out of 5 stars would be 4* but for a serious issue.   December 8, 2008
The sound quality is good, and reception is ok when you are in the same room (i have a lot of wireless stuff which maybe interferes however when i leave the room the quality drops sharply.

I do not mind this however as its for bedroom telly/pc use.
BUT

and i really hope this can be fixed.

if you have v quiet sound, or not constant sound, i.e pc use, the reciever stops transmitting after a few mins and i get a VERY loud hissing out of the headset.

Clearly its not energy saving as the headset doesnt shut off,

however i need to disable this "function" as for normal pc work i do not always have sound playing/have it on very quiet.

i do not believe its a fault per se but a design flaw, however it makes the headset pretty much useless.

if anyone knows if the reciever be can stopped from shutting off? if so please post here!!.

cheers

cheers

5 out of 5 stars Give your ears a treat   November 24, 2008

Just got a pair as a pressy and I am very pleased with them. Much much better than my AKG wired headphones in all respects. Sound quality is excellent. What freedom! No wires! I am used to being glued to the chair when listening via headphones and trying not to trip over the wire when I do move around - these let me move around as I wish and still get great sound quality.

Sound quality. Bass is quite tight - not boomy. Lots of detail in the highs and mids. It has a good stereo presence with instruments properly placed and differentiated. For the money these punch well above their weight.

Setting up is easy. Find a mains socket for the base unit (If needed you can use an extension stereo lead for the connection to your sound source). Twist off the ear pad on the left ear phone and insert the two batteries. The phones have a volume control and a tuning control (to tune into the signal) on the right. On the left is the on/off switch. No problem using them with my PC. You can alter the reception channel if needed and retune - so lots of possibles to get them to work well.

Just a thought, if they do move forward when you bend down, then use a bit of string or big elastic band across the earpieces such that it fits around the back of your head. But in normal use they do stay in place.

Whatever, just plug in, turn on and tune in...

1 out of 5 stars Stay way clear of these!!!   October 22, 2008

Absolutely awful. Almost took my ears off when they all of a sudden lost the signal and a gave off an incredibly loud, continuous crackling noise. Happened constantly after several minutes use for no apparent reason (e.g. I stayed in same place and didn't move about etc). Could be a manufacturing problem with just my set - either way they're going straight back to where I got them from!

If nothing is being played, a loud static hiss starts about 1 to 2 minutes after. This effectively makes the headphones useless.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent wireless headphones   January 17, 2008

Excellent sound quality, no audible hiss, work all over the house with no dropouts. Only thing to be aware of is they are very definitely an "open" rather than "closed" design. You can still hear external sounds and others can hear the music you're listening to.
