4 out of 5 stars Just one problem...   February 26, 2007
Overall, I have to say that I love this mouse. It's funny reading the other reviews, because I completely agree with half of them and completely disagree with the others! The mouse IS very light. Believe it or not, I've used a much smaller mouse than this and learned (to my surprise) that size is not an issue in terms of comfort. It's very responsive and I regularly play games with it (including Doom 3) with no problems. This responsiveness is not common with wireless peripherals. I don't have connectivity problems at all, even after 18 months. However, I would agree that the battery consumption is not great. Just make sure you turn it off when you're done!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent for the road, but not a mouse for everyday use   July 20, 2006

I have been using the Trust MI-5300M intermittently for more than 6 months and have come to the conclusion that the product is better than my first impressions of it.

This mouse is very small and light. This makes it excellent to slip into your bag when taking your laptop away somewhere, but makes it less good for a prolonged period of graphics work. The cursor movement is smooth, and the scroll wheel works very well. The mouse also pairs easily with my Apple G4 Powerbook. However battery life from the AAA batteries is not good.

My solution has been to use the Trust mouse while on the road, and to rely on another, more sturdy and larger mouse for my everyday work. At the low price of this mouse, that should be a luxury most laptop users can afford.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent travelling companion   June 10, 2006
I wanted a small Bluetooth mouse to work with a Bluetooth enabled Toshiba laptop. I didn't need a transmitter / loads of functions.

The mouse is small: hold it between thumb and ring finger rather than curling your hand around it. I find it comfortable and responsive in use. Its easy to set up via the Toshiba Bluetooth menu. The travel pouch is a nice touch - to protect it when thrown into the rucksack.

I'm a fairly heavy user and have been using it for several weeks now, using Hahnel high capacity rechargeable batteries. Even though I forget to switch the mouse off every evening I get 2-3 weeks use per charge.

For around 25 quid (with the rechargeable batteries) you really can't go wrong.

2 out of 5 stars Flawed mouse   April 12, 2006

In many ways I like this mouse a lot. It's elegant, it's the right size and the price is very reasonable. But the battery life is a problem. I have to change the batteries at least every 2 weeks, which is a bit much. I also have to force it to reconnect quite frequently by going to settings. It's a shame really, but because of these flaws, I couldn't recommend it .

4 out of 5 stars Small, wireless & not mad expensive   March 14, 2006

The mouse is as the subject reads - I was well impressed.

I wanted something small that I could carry around for a Sony Vaio small laptop. This has its own small bag and can fit in your pocket.

Setup was easy - the Sony Vaio has a Toshiba bluetooth setup and this picked the mouse up without flinching.

The only possible issue I could have is the noise of the button switches is a good bit louder compared to any mouse Ive used before - so when working somewhere quiet - its back to the on-board touch pad.
