Excellent Value, high speed USB 2 interface card June 3, 2005 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Arrived as usual with Amazon before I expected it, fitted it in minutes, booted up XP which found it and loaded drivers. Has now worked perfectly providing rapid downloads to a Zen Micro for several months and it was 10! Magic.
Fast and Easy to install February 26, 2005 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
Using Windows XP, put it in the slot and the first time it didn't work, pushed it a bit further in and it worked perfectly. Provides up to 500mA per port, and gives 4 external ports or one of the external ports can be replaced by an internal. I have used it with a Lexmark Printer, Bytestore USB 2.0 Pen Drive (512MB) and a Digital Camera and they all work fine and much quicker compared to USB 1.
Unreliable January 11, 2005 14 out of 20 found this review helpful
I got one of these to use with my iPod and instaled it and I seemed to be working fine... after a couple of days and a few reboots the card failed to recognise anything pluged in to it and told me that the connected devices were faulty!! I would not recommend this card to anyone, but sugest that it's worth paying the extra on a better card!!
iPod January 7, 2005 12 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is no doubt good value for money but you do get what you pay for, try using an ipod through a usb hub, not pleasant. It does the job but it has its faults, defiantly worth buying a better quality belkin equivalent if you wish to use an appliance such as an ipod on it.
Cheap and cheerful USB 2.0 card December 11, 2004 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but i was pleasantly suprised when it came 24 hrs after ordering. Opened box and there it was in an anti-static bag, just that and nothing else, bad sign i thinks. Anyway, opens up the PC, sticks the card into a free pci slot and boots up the system. Windows XP starts and finds the card straight away, loads its own drivers and thats it! its in, it works, and now i am moving photo's from memory cards alot faster than i was before. A brilliant cheap card that does exactly what it should, now all i need to do is buy an internal card reader and make use of the 1 internal USB connector on the card. Bargain.
