4 out of 5 stars Great Value For Money   November 3, 2008
I Go thourgh headphones like crazy, as i dont look after them at all...so breakage are manily my fault so i am constantly looking for good lasting headphones. These are great headphones, and have lasted me the longest out of any headphones i have ever brought(round 6 months which may not seem alot but for me who normally gets through a set each month thats really good). Sound quality good and great blocking of outside noise. my only problem wud be the extention cable is just a bit too long to slip into a bag or pocket unless the bag is on the floor.

4 out of 5 stars Good but fragile   October 20, 2008
I've worn out more pairs of these than i care to think about (i get through a set roughly every 6 months), but i keep coming back to them.

the reason, there are few better for the price.

Fit snuggly, good sound quality, and enough isolation to get you run over, all in all, good stuff

4 out of 5 stars Nice, ideal for iPod, but needs more bass   September 28, 2008
Have been keeping an eye on these earphones for quite a while and finally bought them since the earphones coming with my iPod really tortured my ears and I couldn't endure any more. As long as I plugged these Sony earbuds, they gave the music that I've been listening a new style! Matching the price and the extension cable gives flexibility. The only thing is that the bass quality is a bit of a shame, could be better. But I accept this since they are only EARBUDS, what else could be demanded?

1 out of 5 stars quiet sound quality   September 24, 2008
I found the sound quiet, as i had to turn the volume up on my laptop to max so it was the same volume as through my ipod headphones. This has really annoyed me as im going 2 have 2 buy another pair of fairly expensive headphones.

4 out of 5 stars Great for the price, but make sure you fit the right buds !   July 7, 2008

Listen folks, I have 2 pairs of these and they are without doubt the best sounding low-mid priced headphones I've personally ever had.
What you have to do though, to get the best possible sound, is to make absolutely sure you have the right size buds fitted. They come with 3 sizes, I'm an average sized bloke but I needed the large buds. If you don't test for the right size, you will end up wondering why lots of people rave about these cans.
How to test ?
What you need to do is fit each set of buds, play some bassy music, then push the headphones gently into your ear until they sit snugly, then gently push them til as far as they can go. If you notice an increase in bass while you've pushed them further than they would normally sit in the ear, then the buds you've chosen are the wrong size. You'll know you have the right size bud when you hear no (or very little) appreciable difference in bass while performing this test.
Like I said, I'm not a big guy so I started out with the small buds, which left me thinking "where the hell's the bass?" Same happened with the medium buds. It's only when I got to the large buds that I realised this is the whole point as to why Sony include 3 bud sizes.
Listen, the bass isn't the deepest bass you're gonna find, but it's certainly very good. What makes these cans good is their overall sound quality.
Sure they're a bit flimsy, but hey, I've had mine for 2 years now and haven't had a problem. It's how you treat them that matters.
Hope this helps !
