Do Not Use on Mac G4 November 17, 2008 Installed the card and it worked fine, added a miniature bluetooth dongle onto the internal USB, my Mac crashed with the only solution to get it restarted being removing the PCI card. I tried reinstalling the thing but it doesn't work at all. Save your money and buy a better one as you definitely get what you pay for with this. If you do a google search for the model number which is U5P-VT6212L you will see other Mac users have had this issue and the manufacturer offers no support. Probably works fine in a PC but in the Mac its a no-no.
It's cheap and it works.. October 27, 2008 USB 2.0 PCI Card
I bought this to fit inside a friend's PC to provide some extra USB ports. The one I was sent had the extra internal port, which is always handy, there's not a lot to say about it other than the fact that it's cheap, easy to install and does what it's meant to. And no smoke or flames came from the PC either.
Good value for money February 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This arrived quickly, and properly packaged. Design not quite as in photo, but only took me 3 minutes to fit once I had the PC cover off. Windows XP installed drivers automatically. For some reason my Dell USB keyboard won't work from this card; but mouse, external hard drive, scanner and printer all work fine so it's given me 4 more USB ports, very cheaply.
Very cheap and works with Mac OS X! January 10, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My title says it all. I had it installed in my G4 PowerMac within a matter of minutes and it just worked. I didn't need to install any drivers. Simply a bargain!
Great but.... December 6, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
got this yesterday and fitted it in almost straight away, it came as a 5 port (4 external + 1 internal)and i was checkin that all ports worked, got to the internal one and plugged my mouse in which has a draw of power of 21mA and it almost caught my board on fire, on the tracks had melted, my guess is a short circuit, but the external ones still work, i'm not bovered though as it was cheap and iv checked the other's
i would still buy it though
