3 out of 5 stars it's an ok headset...   July 3, 2008
I've had this headset a while now,
and it's pretty good, the sound quality is great, i can play games and skype at
the same time and hear both easily, the problems i have encountered are it is painful
to wear after an hour or so and caused me alot of headaches and made my ears sore.
my friends say that the mic is clear and the quality is good, a slight hum in the background only.
also recently when i move my head the sound goes to only one ear and i have to shake my head to make it go back into both ears.

5 out of 5 stars really good best i used yet   June 7, 2008
i have to say these are great for games i can hear people from a far way away all time, havnt had a problem at all with these i baught them plugged right in and am still using them now.i could not play the games i play without them now its like i never used anything else. they do get a little unconmfortable after hours of gaming but its worth it for the sound they give in game. i would deff buy again.

5 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit   January 24, 2008

I purchased this item for online gaming on my ps3. Easy to install, the ps3 recognised it straight away. The inline volume and mic controll is very useful, allowing you to change the volume and to turn on and off the microphone.

A great item would recomend for anyone who wants a headset for gaming.

I purchased these because my normal headphone socket on my PC stopped working, and to tell the truth I am quite pleased in a way, as these USB headphones are far superior to any of the smaller ear and headphones I have used that have the small round jackplug. Very easy to install and use, and a very user-friendly configuration panel that allows for a wide range of settings, eg, mixer, equalizer, karaoke, etc. I have not used the microphone, as I only wanted them really for music and watching videos, etc, and if you want headphones for the same reason, I recommend these. A nice touch is the volume control and mic switch on the cable. As a few other people have mentioned, they can become a little uncomfortable if you use them for a long period, but not overly so.
But over all, an exremely good product for very little money.

3 out of 5 stars Ok for a short while.   February 9, 2006

I bought this mainly to communicate over teamspeak and for Counter-Strike 1.6. I am quite serious about this game, and I was looking for the sound quality to blow me away. The sound quality is really really good. No question about that, and I know a bit about sound. The mic is definatly NOT the best thing out there. From what I can hear in the test things in teamspeak, it is fuzzy and poor quality. But I have had no complaints from friends so maybe it is just the teamspeak relay that is poor.

The MAJOR problem with this however seems to be drivers.
I installed the Trust drivers that came with it fine, and it is usually fine for an hours use or so in game. But after random periods of time, the sound completely dies. It becomes echoey, unhearable, basically painful to have to your ears and any program using it (ie. CS) has to be restarted and the headset unplugged and re-plugged. Then WinAmp usually crashes if it is playing something.

Basically, if you are gonna use this for music, or short gaming sessions, it's great.

But the software and compatablity etc. seems to be some of the worst out there, as it just dies when I am using it. (fun in a scrim.)

Sound: great, amazing. When it's working basically. I would love Trust to make some brilliant drivers for it. Ones that *work*.

Very comfy tho lol!
