....with your CD writer. These Imation discs are possibly the most fickle that I have tried. Imation's CD recordables are good, but this product is a far cry from the company's usual standard. At 10-24 speed, you would expect these to work with any modern CD writer of 10 speed or higher. Most drives are 32 speed these days, so may need to be turned down to 24 speed manually, but they should recognise these CDs and adjust the burn speed automatically.
However, the Imations got picked up as 4 speed discs by every CD writer with which I could try them, which WILL cause a burn failure and a ruined disc as they require at least 10 speed recording. Unfortunately, most drives will not allow the user to set a higher than recommended speed to avoid errors, which is ironic in this case.
There are much better CD re-writables available, such as TDK.
