NOT x64 bit compatible in XP or Vista January 24, 2008 Unless you intend living in the memory limited x32bit world for the foreseeable future steer clear of this one. The windows logo and XP Pro/Vista suitability promise on the package fails to mention x64bit is not supported for either XP or Vista. I had to RMA after extensive enquiries revealed a year long history of microsoft intransigence, silence and just plain ignorance regarding a x64 driver. The forums are very bitter because the DigitalPersona software is outstanding at replacing all your password typing. If you used this reader on a 32bit system it's a heck of a loss when you upgrade and sorely missed for want of some attention to detail.
Passowrds no more August 29, 2007 This is a great little gadget, it is ingenious, and works great. The only problems I foind were that it only workds with microsoft internet explorere, and doesn't work with Windows Live Messenger. But apart from that, it is great, and I'm very glad that I bought it. IT is also very easy to clean, you have to use sticky tape, and it just pull all of the dirt off, and it is spotless, as if it were new.
Seriously Good March 16, 2006 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
Bought this out of interest. Got to say this is really good, saves remembering all the user ids and passwords....I must have hundreds by now. Simple to install and much easier to use than I anticipated.Takes the chore out of surfing. As the user guide says, this product is for convenience and as such I'm not using it for my internet banking accounts. Great piece of kit. johnnysaint
Great February 26, 2006 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Fantastic product. Main points: Advantages: 1. If, like me, you are registered to so many sites, it dosen't half save some time remembering passwords, filling in secret answers and waiting for password reminder emails. You will wonder how you ever managed without it. 1. Very easy to use once set up, which is itself easy 2. Takes up hardly any space. 3. Great gadget for gadget lovers or anyone else for that matter, including forgetful grandparents/parents/anyone! 4. Brilliant present for the hard to buy for 5. Well worth the price 6. Seriously cool. 7. Unlike a previous reviewer, have not neeeded to clean it since I got it over a month ago. Disadvantage: 1. Have now linked it to so many website logins and is fine but as mentioned previously, does not work with Firefox and Messenger. Maybe it will with Windoes Live (will superseed messenger). Will find out soon as am installing Beta in the next couple of days. Either way, if you have messenger to log in automatically like myself it's no problem. All in all, still 5 stars. Certainly must have.
No More Passwords! February 13, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Hint - If you are a stressed student or office worker, or you simply like cool gadgets like me, buy this item! An excellent purchase and it works a treat. I have added speech to my device so that no whenever someone else uses it to try to get into my laptop, it says 'Access Denied'. 10/10 for efficiency, ease of setting up and sheer coolness.
