1 out of 5 stars Out of production and not Vista compatible   June 12, 2007

I don't think that I missed any warnings telling me that it wasn't Vista compatible. Belkin say that as it is out of production they have no plans to support it.

3 out of 5 stars Useful gadget   March 3, 2007

It works very well, and it's easy to set up. But it didn't really do what I hoped it would do, which was to enable a computer in the next room to print to the bluetooth-enabled printer. I bought a Belkin 100m bluetooth Usb connector for the computer, but these things don't seem to work if the signal has to travel through walls. If you are using it in a huge open-plan office, I expect it would be just the thing.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product!   January 16, 2007

Extremely quick and easy to install. I bought mainly for use with my BT-enabled laptop so that I did not need to cart it back and forth to my printer (or visa versa). Works flawlessly. I used the Hard copy replacement profile as this is more stable than Serial port. I have been trying to use it with my PDA but have not yet been successful but that's more to do with what profile it supports and I'm sure I'll work it out. Belkin support is extremely helpful.
BTW bought this from John Lewis for [...]!

5 out of 5 stars Very satisfied, but some initial problems   April 30, 2006

Purchesed this device to link up my three desktop computers, and two laptops to a single printer (an HP PSC 2355).

I followed the instructions, and had no trouble setting up the adapter. Setting up my computers presented some problems. I THINK I used the instructions for Connecting via Hardcopy Replacement Profile, but I am not sure. The instructions did not seem to make it clear whether I should connect via a Serial Port Profile or a Hardcopy Replacemant Profile. However, that might just be my being stupid! I would welcome any comments from other customers

However, everything is working well now. Just one small point. Printing is rather slow for the computer located furthest from the printer.

4 out of 5 stars Belkin Bluetooth USB Printer Adapter   December 22, 2005

I bought this so that laptop users in the house could print to the main printer (HP laserjet) without having to configure a wireless network and extra security. The box contains the printer adapter, which is a little smaller than a packet of cigarettes plus another mains transformer which needs to be plugged into a 13 A socket. The adaptor uses a power lead as well as a USB serial lead. (You provide the USB lead) If your printer only has one USB socket, you can't bluetooth it as well as have a hard wire at the same time.

It's not quite as wires free as I had hoped, as it needs a mains connection and a USB cable but coupled with the Belkin Bluetooth Adaptor for the laptop, it prints. Note that I can't use the bluetooth to work the scanner function on the printer.
