Creative Labs HS 300 Headset - Poor heaset April 3, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own this headset since 6 or 8 months and I should say that it is pretty disappointing. It gives you quiet a pain using it for a long time is excruciating... Also since few weeks I got a bad contact on of the speaker phone. I cannot recommend this product!
A quick type for comfort! March 25, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If your using these for prolonged periods of time (2-3 hours+) i suggest wrapping something soft like tissue around the part of the plastic that is on your ears. I did this with my last pair and i didnt even notice i was wearing them (and i use them 4-5+ hours a day) The headset also lasted me 14 months before the mic stopped working so for this price you cant really go wrong.
Also, there great for people with big ears (like me) as they dont try to squash your ear like sets with big pads do!

I'm afraid I must disagree with the other reviewers. This headset is incredibally dissapointing. The mic works quite well, except when you put mic boost on it is too loud to use normal for talking and the sound quality is too poor to use it for other recording purposes such as music. The sound quality from the headphones is probably the best part, although I have to contradict the other reviewer that said it can go as loud as your ears can take, I had it on max and I still felt I would like my music to be louder (and I don't exactly like it blaring). The worst part is what my title refers to. The sheer PAIN this headset has caused to my ears is intense. They are burning right now. The main problem is the back bit not being adjustable, I wouldn't say my ears were freakishly far back, but these headphones just won't stay on my head, they fall down, and they fall so that the top bits hook onto my ears and stay up like that, but after a while it REALLY starts to hurt. If you want a cheap headset and you don't mind a little pain for your troubles, by all means, buy this headset. If you want something good, I'd advise you look elsewhere.

I didnt want to spend a lot on headphones, and I heard these were great for their price. I can tell you, i am not dissapointed. You can crank the volume up as loud as your ears can handle, with no impact on sound quality. Just as importantly, they are extremely comfy, and you forget you have them on most of the time. You want a headset without spending big money? Buy this item now.
