3 out of 5 stars Nice keyboard, shame about the mouse   July 20, 2005
I really like the split keyboard and it does secure communications (so nobody can snoop your signals, if you are paranoid or using it in a techy-busy place).

The mouse, however, is rubbish - big lag in it noticing you have moved and very poor accuracy in use. The shape is also very strange coming off a standard Microsoft mouse - it slants to the side. Binned!

5 out of 5 stars Cordless keyboard and mouse - the way to go   May 30, 2005

For years I had been wanting to replace my corded Microsoft Natural Keyboard for a cordless equivalent as well as changing my mouse (one too many wires were getting on my nerves!). Logitech had a split keyboard and mouse out before, but I didn't get that one as I wanted the newer design mouse. So I was quite please when this keyboard and mouse combo was released.

It's been fantastic, I've been able to use the iTouch function keys to play music (and skip or repeat tracks), check my email and search my computer for documents. If I do have a gripe it is with the mouse - the only way I've found of turning it off (and stopping the red function light blinking) is to take the batteries out. Apart from that, it is very comfortable to use and fits into the hand nicely. My left-handed brother has had no problems using it, though I wonder if they will ever do (or have done) a left-handed version of the mouse?

Best of all, I didn't even install the software that came with it - I just followed the basic instructions, so it pretty much worked straight out of the box. If you've never used a "split" keyboard, it may take some getting used to, but it is much easier to learn to touch type with this design. It's a good investment if you're looking to replace your keyboard and mouse, but I suggest you try out the keyboard first if you've never used one before. If you have and are looking for a replacement, this is one definitely worth considering.

4 out of 5 stars using the keyboard CORDLESS good or bad?   April 6, 2005

This keyboard looks great feels great but does take some getting used to, i found i had to look down at the board alot more than usual but was starting to get the hang of it after a couple of hours. If you wanting a cordless keyboard/mouse and are a hard gamer then may i suggest you get the normal connection NOT CORDLESS. it works ok but when moving mouse clicking the mouse fire button and selecting items via the keyboard and running, it seems to slow down quite alot and lagg pretty bad!! thats with brandnew fullycharged rechargable batteries. Obviously the remote can only take so many responses and can thandle doing too much at once. I will be definately going with this design but NON CORDLESS..
