The Mercedes of Sound cards October 6, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a sound card this is i can't fault it. Amazing reproduction of audio and coupled with some decent speakers, like logitechs Z2300's, the result is awesome. It's a shame there are only 5 stars available. For the money there is nothing other to say than "buy it".
Crystal clear sound for all! September 5, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Spot on sound, squeaky clean highs and booming lows. Can't fault this sound card in the slightest a definate plus from the onboard sound provided with my PC as standard. I've got it playing through a pair of Creative I-Trigue 3600's, if you can afford to fork out on a set they are most definately worth it also. I didn't think I would notice the difference but was very much wrong. The only niggle, which is no fault of Creative, is that there is a some sort of clash between Norton Internet Security and the sound card... odd but Nortons help pages do provide a solution which has worked for me when the problem cropped up.

Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS December 22, 2004 11 out of 16 found this review helpful
I had my Audigy 2 ZS for only a few days before sending it back because the IEEE 1394 'Firewire' port disabled my Internet and email access (I could connect to my ISP but could not open/view ANY webpages or send/receive email). Despite help from Creative and various on-line forums the problem remained and there didn't seem to be anyway for me to use the Internet while this card was in my PC. The IEEE 1394 is installed automatically when XP boots up, you can delete/remove the IEEE 1394 Bus and Net Adapter from Device Manager but this does not fix the problem and if you restart the PC the Firewire port is installed again. Though this must be a very rare problem (considering I could only find two other mentions of it on the Internet) I would take caution when purchasing this card and just be prepared to have to send it back. To be able to send this review I had to remove the Audigy 2 ZS and perform a System Restore.

Absolutely fantastic. Amazing sound, good flexibility and easy to install. I definitely recommend this card to people still on their PC's standard soundcard.
