Simple... January 5, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This "dongle" is very very easy to use, the software is easy aslong as you are competent using a computer! The only minor issue i have with the dongle is the transfer rate slows quite drastically if you more the device further than a few feet from the dongle. All in all a solid piece of kit but not really a 10m range at a decent speed.
Don't buy for computer headset linking December 28, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I went for this bluetooth adapter over the D-Link one mainly on asthetics. It turns out I made abad choice. The device was easy to use on Mac OS X - just plug in and use.... but it is not compatable with headset usage on the computer. So the discription text is incorrect - this device does not work with every bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2 compliant device.
Didn't work for me September 22, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I installed this with Windows XP SP2. I went through all of the instructions and eventually got the thing set-up after an hour or so, but it is definitely not what you would call plug and play. It connected to my mobile phone OK, however when I tried to use it with a Jabra bluetooth headset the sound quality was so bad, I gave up. A few weeks later I came to use it again and found the configuration changes I did at first to get it to work had been lost, and I had to set it all up again. At this point I gave up and bought a Hama adapter, which installed with no problems and worked perfectly, with clear reception to the headset. I would avoid the Belkin.
Just what i needed August 26, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This Bluetooth adaptor is easy to install and use, i run my PC on windows ME and it works a treat!, my reason for purchasing this adaptor was to connect my mobile phone (Samsung E720) to my PC, to transfer photos and MP3s. This device does makes the transfer process easy and quick, ive used other blutooth adapters before to transfer MP3s to my phone and this is by far the quickest and easiest to use. To transfer a file you just right click on the file you want to send and click 'send to' and there is an option for bluetooth, click it and a window opens to select a device to send to and your away!. the software ofers other features which i have no need for (yet!) like use a device to access the internet (probably for PDA's) and Faxing, and PIM sync. Very pleased with this product and very affordable. 5 STARS worthy
