Best Buy June 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the corded version of this mouse having looked around for a suitable mouse for my (messy) desk at work. Having read the reviews on Amazon I finally stuck with this one and bought it about two months ago.
The first thing I would point out is that I'm not sure that having the wireless version is much more advantageous to the corded as there is little - or no - movement of the mouse at all, so the cordless seems a waste of money at 10 more but it may suit some people to keep things tidy. Just a preference issue, really.
Despite the picture looking like it will twist your hand in various directions in order to use it, it took me less than half a day to get used to - while some mice leave your fingers dangling over the ends of the buttons this one fits perfectly.
After putting my pointer speed down slightly from a moving mouse the trackball is simple to make accurate drawings and adjustments (I am a web designer so asthetics are everything).
My only issue is that I've forgotten how to use a real mouse ;)
Best mouse I have ever owned March 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got this to replace my Logitech marble mouse after five years of of use. To a little getting used to but after a while I was using it like as killed artist uses a brush. Buy this item and you wont be dissapointed at first you may find it uncomfortable but you will quickly become accustommed to its ergonomic design.
Cons- none.
Pros- To many to list. Just buy it and see for yourself.
wireless trackball pointless option ? December 9, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have two trackballs the other is a Logitech TrackMan Wheel (not wireless). Both are excellent products and have been reviewed extenisvely. The only thing I have to add is to comment soley upon the wireless option. In short I am not sure that it is worth paying for the wireless option in a trackball as it doesn't move anywhere and doesn't restrict or annoy as the cable on a mouse sometimes does. Pay your money, make your choice.
Absolutely perfect! December 6, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used trackballs for many years at work, namely the Microsoft Trackball which is a wonderful item, but frankly this Logitech unit destroys it in terms of quality, comfort, accuracy, ease of use, reliability, build and tactility.
Seriously, this trackball is so accurate it belies belief. The scrollwheel responds to speed of turn as well as number of 'clicks' and it appears to 'rubber band' the browser window when using a web application. The scrollwheel also doubles as an assignable third button, and the resistance from the buttons and ball is bang on. Not only that, the shape and consequent comfort is is superb and even after long periods of use it remains a pleasure to use.
Set up was absurdly easy (although I use a Mac which helps); I simply plugged the receiver into a spare USB port and five seconds later it was automatically configured and ready to go. On the Mac system preferences screen the options were there immediately and the controls are so progressive that it's easy to find the perfect tracking / scroll / double click speed.
All in all, worth every single penny and a definite must buy if one is after a trackball.
MOUSE HEAVEN November 11, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Give yourself time to adjust to one of these, and you probably will never look back ever again, no more getting cables stuck on the mat etc .super mouse so good i just ordered another to use with my laptop in a nut shell PERFECT what more can i say HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you do encounter a problem when your screen pointer does not move as it should or not at all after YEARS of use. take out the small screws in the base carefully lift out the ball and clean the laser screen with a cottonbud ( gently does it )
