3 out of 5 stars Don't expect too much from such a small fan.   August 13, 2006

The fan blows a steady stream of air in any direction, BUT:
(1) It is not silent, so you will have to be prepared to get used to the buzzing noise.
(2) The light flow of air only has any real effect if pointed directly at one's face, which can be irritating after a while.
(3) The joint between the USB plug and the flexible cable came unstuck on my fan, so it will not stand up from the USB socket alone without being supported by a desk surface.

1 out of 5 stars noisy indeed   July 3, 2006

after reading existing reviews, i still had to give it a try since i didn't have space for a desk fan.

this flyfan is noisy indeed. the air isn't too powerful or cooling either, you have to be a under a foots lengh from it to feel it. the cable isn't what it says it is too. won't stand straight like the other usb tools kensington have.

2 out of 5 stars Noisy Flyfan   October 25, 2003

I thought this little fan would be nearly silent. Actually the fan makes a high pitched noise which is as loud as my 240V,50W mains fan. But it does give a stream of air strong enough to make my eyes water.

this tiny fan is amazing, keeps me so cool, i was so supprised! this tiny thing is as good as a big fan, the polymer material (tri mono hexedene)its made out of which another words is flexible, enhances air circulation.
