5 out of 5 stars Brilliant book   January 23, 2007

For those who like photography, but see digital manipulation as more than just an opportunity to adjust the colour, but to construct images that appear real, but which might never exist in reality, this is the book for you!

The images are high quality, with plenty of ideas to emulate: realistic lightening, fog and fire, tips on compositing and tool use etc.

I highly recommend this book for beginners and enthusiasts alike

an excellent book with plenty of interesting tutorials. the only real let down is that, the book does not come with a stock photo cd. even worse, where no cd is ok if you can download the images from a website. when you click on the website link the book website is just a bog standard page with a list of "useful resources, unfortuantely no links to images"! HOW PATHETIC.

Other than this, the book itself is excellent resource with a few oversites and fillers but more than worth the money if you're into photoshop

This book is a must for anyone with Photoshop Elements or CS as many of the diffuclt to master tricks are covered in detail with excellent examples and easy to copy projects. Full colour, simple instructiong, plenty of screen shots, and plain english text. Well worth the money and based on this I will buy more from ILEX.
