With Music Director Gold, top music software maker eJay lays down the standard for all audio software engines; and even if Music Director Gold is not without faults, it's a standard that will be fairly hard to match. Music Director Gold features 9,000 samples that can be mixed and melded onto 256 slickly organised on-disk tracks. The relatively foolproof interface allows you to swiftly locate just the right groove or lick, which you can then drag 'n' drop into your budding meisterwerk. As with all eJay products, the software automatically matches up the tempos and timbres, so there are no jarring musical mismarriages. The same goes for the effects, such as solo/mute, panorama and so on. One interesting add-on allows you to do funky stuff with Wave Editing and Time Stretching; another feature allows you to import or export your tracks as MP3s and data files. You can also make your own digital videos, and export them too; moreover, everything you make can be automatically backed-up to CD-ROM or hard disk. So what's the catch? Well, there's nothing truly revolutionary about this kit, despite what some might claim; what is gratifying is seeing it all in one comprehensive package. --Sean Thomas

This piece of software is a very good all round music production program. It comes with thousands of samples if you want that kind of thing but I use it only for audio. I create songs using my keyboard, guitar, bass guitar and microphone running through a mixing desk. I have used more expensive programs like cubase and pro tools which are literally ten times more expensive and I'd say that this was a very good contender. It's easier to use than cubase and pro tools and costs 25!
It took me a while to realise that this program doesn't support audio input which is disappointing, but audio outputs from external sources work just as well plugged into a microphone socket.
All in all, a good program. For 25, it's a true, true bargain.

This is a great piece of software. With 9,000 samples there is actually endless amounts of time you can spend making an editing your music.
This is awesome, probably the best out of the Ejay series if you want a bit of everything.Definately worth getting.

Ejay software has always been a great way to pass a rainy afternoon, but don't kid yourself that it's proper music software. Super sounds, instant results, but there's no real music therory behind it, and you don't have many choices. Good fun, I always love my first few hours with any Ejay package, but it's a fleeting thing. Just for fun.

OK, ejays music director gold a great way for all you young rapper's, mc's, dj's and of course music director's. With it's 9000 free samples 256 audio tracks in brilliant quality Music Director Gold is the one stop for all your music needs. Using these funky tunes and complimentary sounds groove through the experience of making your own songs . Also packed into this masterpiece is a bunch of video tracks for making your very own videos and eJay Audio Engine for great editing and producing, and brilliant quality of sound is another marvellous feature. And finally as all you know your old music makers would change pitch as you speeded the song up, and yes you guessed it this blessing from God doesn't using it's auto time stretcher. My vote 5 out of 5 a definite top seller
